Cool Davis hosts discussion on bike plans

By From page A3 | May 20, 2014

How bike-friendly is your organization? Join the discussion at the next Cool Davis Coalition meeting from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Eleanor Roosevelt Circle Community Room at Fifth Street and Cantrill Drive. Those who arrive by vehicle are asked to park across the street at the Davis Police Department.

Dave Kemp, the city of Davis’ active transportation coordinator, will discuss the Beyond Platinum Bike Plan and what it means for organizations trying to support their members, employees and customers on bikes. Trish Price from Davis Bicycles! Schools Committee, a 2014 Eco-Hero, will discuss what can be learned from safe routes to schools planning when devising safe routes to workplaces and events.

“Bring your ideas and problems for discussion, then ride with us to join the Ride of Silence at the Vets’ Memorial,” a news release said.
