Da Vinci plans its own version of ‘Shark Tank’

By From page A4 | December 02, 2012

Local residents are invited to vote for their favorite potential new business as the Da Vinci High School senior class presents “The Dragon’s Den” business venture ideas on Tuesday evening. The event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Da Vinci campus, 1400 E. Eighth St.

Students have worked in teams to create business ventures for the Davis community. They have created business plans, company statements, budgets and products and will present their marketing booths and sales pitches on Tuesday.

Guests are invited to come sample (think milkshakes and burgers) or experience (think hydroponics) the products and vote for their favorite. A team of “Dragons” — business leaders and teachers — also will assess each business and choose to invest, or not.
