Davis Origami taking new members into the fold
The Davis Origami Group will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Blanchard Room at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St.
The first hour is geared for first-time folders and more advanced folders are welcome to join. There will be an exhibit on World Origami Days, Oct. 24-Nov. 11, in the three display cases at the library throughout October.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, from 1 to 5 p.m. the library will hold a special event to celebrate World Origami Days featuring an expanded exhibit, origami stories and various models will be taught throughout the day to beginning and more experienced folders. Among them are finger puppets, toys/games, practical items (containers/wallets), and airborne models.
