Discover the art of motion at DAC

Discovery Art is back for the second year at the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St.

This year, the theme is “Momentum: Art in Action/Creativity in Motion.” Participants will be investigating physical momentum and momentum in culture and society.

All are invited to participate in Off the Grid, a collaborative, community art installation.

“Come to the Art Center and pick up a take-home grid kit to leave your mark as a community artist,” a news release said.

An opening reception runs from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Art Center and features activities that explore creativity, physics and all things that move us. Refreshments and music by The Hoots are planned.
