Earth-friendly cooking demonstration planned

Cool Cooking for a Cool Planet will feature Chef Debra showing how to choose and cook a climate-friendly diet. She will teach how to make dishes that are delicious and satisfying without using any heat or electrical appliances, and participants may taste samples.
The demonstration is planned for Thursday, Aug. 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m., and repeated Saturday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m. to noon, at Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis, 27074 Patwin Road.
The fee is $20 to cover food expenses.

Chef Debra of Pheasant Hollow Farm is a personal chef and cooking instructor with more than 30 years of professional experience. She is continually looking for ways to make healthy, local food more exciting and more sustainable and planet-friendly.
The demonstration is co-sponsored by Cool Davis and the Green Sanctuary Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis.
