Embroiderers hear about India textiles

The Valley Oak Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the Blanchard Room of the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

Celeste Chalasani will present a program on textiles of southern India, where she often visits her husband’s family. She also will demonstrate how to wrap a sari, using program chair Jacqueline Matthews as a model.
