By From page A5 | April 24, 2014

The Valley Oak chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

A hands-on project from EGA National will show how straight stitches can make curved designs. Card stock and perle cotton in a choice of colors will be provided. Bring regular sewing supplies, including a seam ripper to make holes, and bring your own projects, or family textiles, for show-and-tell.

For more information, call Diane Moore at 530-756-0380.
