Enjoy a ‘brrrisk’ morning walk with Sierra Club

By From page A4 | February 05, 2013

The Sierra Club hosts really “brrrisk” morning walks in Davis on Tuesdays and Thursdays, year-round. The group meets at 7 a.m. at Peet’s Coffee & Tea in The Marketplace shopping center at Sycamore Lane and Covell Boulevard in North Davis. All are welcome.

Walking distance is about 4.5 miles in 90 minutes.

The group will return to Peet’s about 8:30 a.m. after walking about 4.5 miles on greenbelts and dirt paths past wildlife ponds, fields, ditches, gardens, Village Homes and the UC Davis Arboretum.

For safety, participants are asked to walk on the right side of the greenbelt path to avoid speeding bicyclists, and cross streets as a group.

Co-leaders are Marilu Carter at 530-758-3151 and Randy Brendia at 530-400-8852.
