Enjoy an autumn walk with the Davis Dynamos

By
From page A3 | October 28, 2012 |

Want to see the “inner” Davis on a beautiful fall walk? On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3-4, the Davis Dynamos will sponsor 6K (3.7 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) noncompetitive walks through Davis parks and greenbelts. The walks will start and finish at CVS/pharmacy at The Marketplace shopping center at Sycamore Lane and Covell Boulevard.

The Davis Dynamos are affiliated with the American Volkssporting Association, but you need not be a member to participate. New walkers are welcome.

Walkers may start anytime between 8 a.m. and noon and should be finished by 3 p.m. They may walk for free or pay $3 for Volkssport credit, but registration at the start of the event is required. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and throughout the walk. Pets are OK on a leash with cleanup. The routes will accommodate strollers and wheelchairs.

For more information, contact Joanne Bowen at 530-219-4575 or jovillage@gmail.com.
