Equinox service to remember black walnut trees

By From page A4 | September 13, 2013

All who love trees are invited to a memorial service Sunday, Sept. 22, to honor the Russell Boulevard black walnut trees that were cut down recently. Eldridge Moores, Barbara Meixner and Meri Superak will contribute music and Sonya Brodt will celebrate the trees with a dance.

The event, sponsored by the Green Sanctuary Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis and Tree Davis, will run from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church, 27074 Patwin Road.

Donations for planting new trees may be made to Tree Davis.

For more information, call Judy Moores at 530-756-4639.
