Legal Services of Northern California, with support from Yolo County Housing and the city of Woodland, will present its annual Fair Housing Workshop on Thursday, April 10. The free event will run from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the conference room at Yolo County Housing, 147 W. Main St. in Woodland.
Representatives of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the National Housing Law Project will speak. The workshop will include an overview of fair housing laws, handling reasonable accommodation and reasonable modification requests, providing access to people who are limited-English-proficient, housing discrimination based on immigration status, and protections for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence.
Morning refreshments are sponsored by the city of Davis and lunch is sponsored by the city of Woodland. The workshop is open to the public, but advance registration is required. To enroll, call 530-662-1065.
