Fall wine, beer tastings support Davis Art Center

By From page A5 | September 24, 2013

Wine and beer tastings this fall at the Davis Food Co-op, 620 G St., will benefit the Davis Art Center.

The first, on Friday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., will be an October Fest beer-tasting. The cost is $1 per taste, or $5 to taste the slate. Future tastings are planned on Oct. 11 and 18, Nov. 1 and 8 and Dec. 6 and 13. October tastings will feature a slide show of art related to the October Tsao Gallery exhibition, “Different Strokes,” which is sponsored by the Co-op.

Founded in 1959, the Davis Art Center offers the community more than 300 classes in multimedia art, music, dance, martial arts and physical wellness. It also hosts a variety of theater and music performances each year, including the annual Classical Guitar Series, as well as other fun, interactive family-friendly programs, such as Discovery Art, Junk 2 Genius and the annual Holiday Art Sale.
