Federal employees, retirees target health insurance

Federal workers and retirees are invited to help draft a report to Rep. John Garamendi about higher health insurance premiums in Northern California at a meeting at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Woodland Community & Senior Center, 2001 East St. in Woodland.

Delegates also will talk about the recent National Active and Retired Federal Employees convention in Sacramento. Members of the Woodland Senior Center Retiree Assistance Group also will attend.

NARFE is one of America’s oldest and largest federal employee/retiree associations with the mission of protecting the earned rights and benefits of America’s active and retired federal workers. The local group is Golden Harvest Chapter 2139.
