By From page A4 | February 13, 2013

The Davis Fencing Academy will host a grand reopening from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at its expanded Davis facility, 2121 Second St., Suite C102. Free one-hour introductory lessons are offered to anyone who wants to learn about modern sport fencing. Refreshments will be served.

Classes will start at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m., and anyone who would like to stay and fence with other beginners and regular club members is welcome, owner Simon Pitfield said. The new location, next door to the original site, is almost double the size of the old, he added.

Pitfield has been teaching and coaching at the academy for the past 13 years. For more information, call the club at 530-758-7087.
