Fibromyalgia sufferers gather for support

The Northern Cal Fibro Friends will hold their monthly meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1010 Nut Tree Road, Suite 240, in Vacaville.

Fibromyalgia is one of the most common chronic pain conditions and disorder affects an estimated 10 million people in the United States. About 75 to 90 percent of the people who have fibromyalgia are women, though children, teenagers and men also can be afflicted.

Anyone who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or who has a family member or friend with the diagnosis is welcome to attend the free meeting. Members are urged to bring copies of one of their favorite recipes to share.
