Film looks at Iran’s election

The UC Davis department of Middle East/South Asia studies presents “Iran: Cry of an Indignant People,” a documentary about Iran’s presidential election. The film, directed by Jamshid Golmakani, will screen at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at 55 Roessler Hall on the UCD campus.

Golmakani is a French-Iranian filmmaker, author and journalist. He began his career as a photojournalist in Tehran in 1977, and immigrated to France in 1982, where he studied at the Sorbonne and earned a doctorate in cinema and television.
