Forum explains benefits for veterans

Information about benefits for veterans, as well as their dependents and survivors, will be available at a community forum from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Yolo Adult Day Health Center, 20 N. Cottonwood St. in Woodland.

Presenters will discuss caregiving services as well as disability, pensions, compensation and medical and other services and benefits. They include Billy Wagster, Yolo County’s veterans services representative; Shon Tamblyn, a licensed clinical social worker and caregiver service coordinator for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Northern California; and Dawn Myers Purkey, program manager for the Yolo Adult Day Health Center/Woodland Healthcare.
