Get a rundown of e-readers at library

The Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis, welcomes readers to try out electronic books from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Children’s Activity Room.

Come to the library and try out downloadable eAudiobooks and eBooks using OverDrive, the library’s digital lending library. Compare electronic devices and e-readers including Amazon’s Kindle Touch and DX, Barnes & Noble’s Nook Simple Touch, Apple’s iPad and iPhone, Sony’s e-Reader and the Android Galaxy Tablet.

“Please come to our ‘Electronic Petting Zoo’ to explore and ask questions about the different platforms to access our downloadable digital media,” Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong said.

No reservations are required. The free event is recommended for adults and children over 10. The Children’s Activity Room is accessible to people with disabilities. For information, contact Joan Tuss at 530-757-5588 or [email protected].
