By From page A3 | March 11, 2012

District 3 congressional candidate Rick Tubbs has scheduled a pair of town hall-style meetings.

Tubbs will meet with voters at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dixon’s Veterans Memorial Hall, 1305 N. First St., and at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Lakeside Lanes, 2495 Parallel Drive in Lakeport.

Tubbs, an airline pilot from Vacaville, is one of four Republicans vying to represent the newly drawn district, which includes Davis and most of Yolo County.

The others are prosecutor Tony Carlos of Yuba City, real estate agent and karate instructor Eugene Ray of Vacaville and Colusa County Supervisor Kim Vann of Arbuckle. Incumbent Rep. John Garamendi, D-Walnut Creek, is the only Democrat in the race.

For the first time, the top two vote-getters in the primary, set for June 5, will go head-to-head in November.
