Health care directives are focus of talk

By From page A3 | January 22, 2013

Information on two important documents — advance directive for health care and physician orders for life-sustaining treatment — will be presented at a free workshop at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Woodland.

Joanne Hatchett, a family nurse practitioner and registered nurse, will give the presentation at the Woodland Senior and Community Center, 2001 East St. No pre-registration is necessary, and her talk is open to the public.

The two documents give a patient, medical personnel and family members clear guidelines on a patient’s choice of treatment in critical times. Documents will be available for pickup at the workshop.
