“Listen to your Nose: Conquering Wine Snobbism” is the subject of the next Science Café in Davis. The gathering — at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Crepeville, 330 Third St. in downtown Davis — will feature a conversation with Ann Noble, a professor emeritus of viticulture and enology at UC Davis.

The Science Café is hosted by professor Jared Shaw and co-sponsored by the UCD Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and the UCD department of chemistry. It aims to demystify scientific research for the general public and empower non-scientists to more comfortably and accurately assess science and technology issues, particularly those that impact on social policymaking.
