Homeless shelter needs supplies

Davis Community Meals provides a winter shelter, transitional housing, a resource center and other resources to homeless and low-income individuals and families in Davis.

The shelter is seeking donations of individual-sized soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, razors, shaving supplies, cleaning supplies, bleach, laundry detergent, large garbage bags and paper towels.

Canned goods and nonperishable foods are also needed, particularly canned items such as soups, beans, chili and stews.

Donations may be dropped off at 1111 H St. in Davis between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, or call 530-753-9204 or 530-756-4008 for more information.
