I-House hosts an evening of sacred singing

By From page A5 | March 12, 2014

Sacred singing and chanting will fill the Community Room at International House, Davis, 10 College Park, on Saturday, March 15, beginning at 7 p.m. Leaders will be Laura Sandage of Davis and Doug von Koss from the Bay Area.

The event will support the Davis Community Men’s Talk Circle and International House. A donation of $10 is asked, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

“Women and men of all ages are welcome to sing the community alive,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, I-House executive director. “The leaders will take us to cultures and traditions who use communal singing as ritual space to invite in the sacred.”

The Talk Circles are open to men of all ages, 18 years and older, at no cost. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month, from 7 to 9:15 p.m., at I-House.
