I-House hosts hurricane relief fundraiser

International House, Davis, will host a fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. I-House is being assisted by Sunset Rotary of Davis and the interfaith community Celebration of Abraham.

“Bring a dish to share for the potluck, and bring your checkbook,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, I-House executive director. “Checks in any amount will be written to the American Red Cross. There are still people on the East Coast suffering from the devastation of the hurricane.”

I-House has come to the aid of others in need following natural disasters, Sherwin said, pointing to fundraisers held in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and the earthquake in Haiti.

For more information, call I-House at 530-753-5007.
