‘Ideas for Stressed Caregivers’ offered Thursday

By From page A10 | March 03, 2013

“You Need a Break! Ideas for Stressed Caregivers” will be presented at the Family Caregiving 101 education meeting at noon Thursday at the Woodland Healthcare Courtyard Conference Room, 1207 Fairchild Court in Woodland.

Peggy Phelps, caregiver resource consultant with the Yolo Adult Day Health Center/Woodland Healthcare, will offer practical suggestions for family caregivers.

The responsibility of caring for a loved one, especially with dementia, can be a full-time unpaid job. Many family caregivers get stressed and get sick while caring for their loved one, Phelps said in a news release, adding, “Family caregivers must take care of themselves in order to care for someone else.”

There is no cost and no reservations are required. For more information, call 530-666-8828.
