In need of food? Apply for CalFresh

By August 28, 2014

The CalFresh program — which provides financial assistance to individuals and households for the purchase of nutritious foods — has expanded its gross income guidelines, meaning more people are eligible to receive benefits.

Free CalFresh application assistance is available at the Center for Families, 441 D St. in downtown Davis. Drop-ins are welcome, or call 530-406-7221 to schedule an appointment.

The CalFresh program can add to a family’s food budget to help put healthy and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores.
