By From page A3 | March 20, 2014

The Davis Art Center offers an ongoing class in traditional ethnic dance from around the world on Sundays from 7 to 9 p.m. at 1919 F St. The basic format of the class is simple, warm-up dances followed by instruction and practice of new or more challenging dances. The class is suitable for beginning through advanced students.

After class, dances by request continue from 9 to 10 p.m.

The class is taught by members of the Davis International Folk Dancers and payment is by dance card. Newcomers are welcome and invited to their first class for free. Soft-soled dance shoes are required.

This Sunday is an all-request night. On Sunday, March 30, Ba La from Israel and Canim Lerik from Turkey will be taught, and Hine Ma Tov and Gradisce will be reviewed.
For more information or to register, call the Davis Art Center at 530-756-4100 or visit www.davisfolkdance.org.
