Join the Sierra Club for early-morning walks

By From page A8 | July 28, 2013

The Sierra Club Yolano Group organizes twice-weekly early-morning walks in Davis, year-round. The group meets at 7 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Peet’s Coffee & Tea at The Marketplace, Sycamore Lane and Covell Boulevard. All are welcome; rain cancels the outing.

The walking distance is about 4.5 miles in 90 minutes and the group returns to Peet’s about 8:30 a.m. Watch for wild turkeys, geese, raptors, coyotes and other wild visitors to Davis’ greenbelts, ponds, fields, ditches, dirt paths, gardens, Village Homes, the UC Davis campus and the Arboretum.
