Sierra Club hosts brisk morning walks in Davis on Tuesdays and Thursdays year-round. The group meets at 7 a.m. at Peet’s Coffee & Tea at The Marketplace at Covell Boulevard and Sycamore Lane. All are welcome. Rain will cancel the walk.

The walk covers about 4.5 miles in 90 minutes, returning to Peet’s Coffee at 8:30 a.m. Walk sites include the Davis greenbelts, ponds, fields, ditches, dirt paths, gardens, downtown, Village Homes, the UC Davis campus and the Arboretum.

Walkers may see turkeys, guinea fowl, geese, raptors, jackrabbits, coyotes and other wildlife.

For information, contact Marilu Carter at mccarter@ucdavis.edu or 530-758-3151 or Richard Crescitelli at rcresci@rocketmail.com.
