International House, Davis, offers eight English classes a week, even during the summer months.

“Our English class on Monday mornings is very small so if you want a tutoring session, this is the class for you,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, executive director.

The class begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Hagan Room at I-House, 10 College Park, and runs until 11 a.m.

Additionally, a vegan cooking class featuring cookies and cake will take place Friday, July 19, at 6 p.m. The class is free for I-House members and others are asked to pay $5.

“Our salsa class has moved to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and our tango class remains at 6 p.m. Wednesday,” Sherwin said.

An International House annual membership costs $20 for students and $40 for community members.
