Learn how to bake a cake

Looking to learn how to make a glazed tea cake, a pineapple upside-down cake, a fruit tart and more from one go-to recipe? Find out how from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the International House, Davis, 10 College Park.

The baking class will be led by Madeleine Kenefick. Sign up at I-House during business hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Kenefick is a well-known Davis cook who used to have a cooking show for students and other listeners on radio station KDVS. She specializes in easy, delicious dishes.

The cost is $10 per person and the money supports I-House. The class is open to the public. For more information, call 530-753-5007.
