By From page A4 | May 23, 2014

Dianne Tobias, co-author of “Combining Rug Hooking and Braiding: Basics, Borders and Beyond” (Schiffer 2011), will teach a braided chair pad/trivet class in the Davis Arts Center summer session on Tuesday evenings from June 10 to July 1.

Students will learn how to choose and prepare wool, braiding and lacing techniques, and tapering to a seamless finish. The skills learned in this class can be used to make circular or oval rugs, baskets, wall hangings, bags and bowls as the student advances.

For information and registration, stop by the Arts Center at 1919 F St. or visit www.davisartscenter.org.
