By From page A10 | December 02, 2012

In preparation for the 2012 Christmas Bird Count, the December general meeting program of the Yolo Audubon Society will be a bird identification workshop. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St. Come early for cookies and conversation.

Steve Hampton, Christmas Bird Count compiler for Yolo Audubon, will use fun facts and pictures to prepare participants for the count on Sunday, Dec. 16. Participants can sign up for a count team at this meeting.

In addition, a raffle drawing will be held. Tickets are on sale in advance and at the meeting; the raffle is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Yolo Audubon.
