Libraries to cut hours for training

By From page A3 | October 04, 2013

All branches of the Yolo County Library will have shortened hours on Mondays, Oct. 14 and 28, so staff may attend systemwide training.

Branches will be open on those days only from 2 to 6 p.m. if the branch is normally open on Mondays, including the Stephens Branch Library at 315 E. 14th St in Davis. The Yolo County Library’s Central Services and Archives also will be affected.

“Library staff are committed to providing the most current, up-to-date library services, and to continuing to meet the high expectations of our Yolo County community,” said Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong.

“These trainings provide us with new information and the resources we need to continue to develop excellent library services for all Yolo County residents.”

During these closures, many library services will be available online. Visit www.yolocountylibrary.org to find online services including e-books, databases and suggested reading lists, and connect with the Yolo County Library on Facebook at www.facebook.com/yolocountylibrary.org.
