“Life after loss” grief support group open for registration

By From page A7 | July 16, 2013

The death of a loved one can be a life-changing event. As time passes and the intensity of grief begins to lessen, a sense of possibility and hope for the future emerges.

For those experiencing the natural movement forward in their healing, it can be helpful to seek additional support. The group, Moving Forward: Reinvesting in Life after Loss, allows for support, understanding and discussion of these changes.

The group will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, July 16 through Aug. 13. Registration closes on Friday, July 12, or when full. There is no charge to participate.

Due to the group’s focus, it is recommended that at least one year has passed since the participant’s loss.

For more information or to register, call Yolo Hospice Bereavement Services at 530-601-5756. Information about Yolo Hospice and grief services is available at www.yolohospice.org. Group dates and times are subject to change without notice. Space is limited.
