The community is invited to “Scouting, A Century of Honor,” a program commemorating the 100th anniversary of the partnership between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Boy Scouts of America.

The tribute will be broadcast locally at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the LDS Stake Center, 850 Pioneer Ave. in Woodland, and at the Dixon chapel, 305 N. Lincoln St. in Dixon. Refreshments will be provided.

In addition, the celebration will be available for viewing at any time on scouts100.lds.org.

“We invite the community, especially local Boy Scout troops, to join us in this historic event,” said Corey Cuvelier, president of the Woodland California Stake, which includes congregations in Davis, Woodland, Winters and Dixon.

“Scouting has enabled countless young men of various faiths and organizations to serve and apply the values that strengthen families and communities. This event recognizes the standards and values we hold in common.”
