Logos Books hosts events throughout October

Logos Books, 513 Second St. in downtown Davis, has a variety of events planned for October.

La Table Française meets the second Wednesday of every month from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The next meeting is Wednesday, Oct. 10; check logosbooks.wordpress.com for the monthly topic.

The bookstore will feature the whimsical art world of Marguerite Schaffron from October through December, with a reception for the artist from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, during the Second Friday ArtAbout. All are welcome.

El Círculo Español meets from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on third Monday of every month, with the next meeting on Oct. 15. Check logosbooks.wordpress.com for topic information.

Novelist Connie Ketchum will read from her biographical novel, “Portrait of Alice B. Toklas” —  which features original tinted photos by the author — from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.
