Luminarias will be lighted Sunday in Woodland

By From page A11 | December 11, 2013

The ninth annual Historic Area Luminaria Display will take place Sunday evening in Woodland. Many residents of First and College streets (between Lincoln and Marshall streets) will be participating, along with others on the 500 blocks of Second and Third streets and Pendegast Street off of College.

The best viewing times are between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. In the event of rain or high winds, the luminarias will be rescheduled to Sunday, Dec. 22.
Visitors are asked to drive slowly while viewing the luminarias or to park outside the area and enjoy a candlelit stroll through the neighborhoods.

Canned goods and warm coats will be collected for the Yolo Food Bank and Fourth & Hope (formerly the Yolo Wayfarer Center). Collection boxes will be available at the intersection of First Street and Oak Avenue.
