Man struck by train near Davis

A man died early this morning after being struck by a train east of Davis, authorities said.

Few details were available this morning. The Davis Fire Department reported that the incident occurred shortly after midnight at the tracks along County Road 32A near the Webster interchange.

The fatality is under investigation by the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department. Coroner’s officials had not released the man’s name as of this morning.
