Market board has opening for community member
A community representative seat, with a two-year term, is open on the Davis Farmers Market board of directors, market manager Randii MacNear has announced. Community representatives are elected by market association sellers.
This is a volunteer seat aimed at people interested in supporting the market and acting as a liaison between Davis consumers and the Davis Farmers Market Association.
Director commitments include attending six board meetings a year, serving on at least one committee per year, attending the Davis Farmers Market annual meeting (held at the end of a Saturday market) and attending board retreats where training, guidance and planning for the year will take place.
Those interested in running for the position must submit a written letter of nomination to the Davis Farmers Market board of directors, P.O. Box 1813, Davis, CA 95617 no later than Dec. 21. For more information, call the market office at 530-756-1695 or email rmacnear@dcn.org.
