Maurer leads Quail Ridge talk and walk

Frank Maurer of the Quail Ridge Wilderness Conservancy will give a presentation about Quail Ridge Reserve at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Senior Center, 646 A St. The reserve is on a peninsula at the southern end of Lake Berryessa.

The talk will precede an easy walk led by Maurer at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, on the preserve, which features native grasses, shrubs and wildlife. The walk will be slow and the group will stop to look at things along the way. In addition to learning about the peninsula wildlife habitats, visitors also will learn about the human history of the Berryessa region.

Call the Senior Center at 530-757-5696 to sign up for the talk and the walk. For more information, visit www.cityofdavis.org.
