Mixed-ability classes are focus of talk

Community members who would like to learn about alternatives to tracking in Davis schools are invited to a presentation by Dana Cope, GATE administrator for the Napa Valley Unified School District, speaking on “How Napa Serves Gifted Students through the School-wide Enrichment Model and Differentiated Instruction in Mixed-Ability Elementary Classes.”

The talk will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Valente Room at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St. The event, hosted by PAGE (Proposing Alternatives in Gifted Education), is free and open to the public.
