All are invited to a free outdoor movie Saturday, Aug. 23, when Movies in the Park return to Davis’ Central Park.

The first of the four-movie run will be “Monsters University.” The movie will begin at dusk on a big screen erected in the park and manned by members of the Sunset Rotary Club of Davis. Refreshments, including cotton candy, will be available for purchase.

“This is a program that the city of Davis used to run, but when they could no longer do so the Sunset Rotary Club took it on,” said president Kevin Whiteford.

On Sept. 6 “Despicable Me 2″ will be shown, followed by “Frozen” on Sept. 13 and “The Lego Movie” on Sept. 20.
