Mural workshops move downtown

By From page A2 | February 20, 2014

Public workshops this week to brainstorm plans for a community art project have been moved to the former site of Dimple Records, 212 F St. in downtown Davis. The workshops were to have taken place at Third Space, 946 Olive Drive.

Caryl Yasko, a nationally recognized muralist, will lead design development workshops from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Design drop-in sessions with Yasko on the project site — a bike and pedestrian throughway connecting Putah Creek Parkway in South Davis with the UC Davis Arboretum’s newly constructed California Native Plant GATEway Garden — are planned from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
