Museum sells market bags as fundraiser

By From page A4 | July 24, 2014

The Hattie Weber Museum, 445 C St. in Central Park, has European style all-cotton market bags for sale.

The bags have shoulder straps and stretch to accommodate irregularly shaped products. The cost is $15 per bag. Proceeds benefit the museum’s fund to renovate the old WPA restroom building in the park into a museum annex.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The latest exhibit celebrates the pioneer Schmeiser family. Admission is free.
