Neuropathy support offered at group meeting

By From page A3 | February 09, 2014

Did you know that there are more than 100 causes for peripheral neuropathy? Learn more about this condition that causes numbness in feet and hands, extreme sensitivity to touch, tingling, burning and shooting pains at the Davis Neuropathy Group meeting Tuesday.

The group will gather from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

Diabetes accounts for about one-third of peripheral neuropathy cases, but other causes include heredity, alcoholism, radiation, toxic chemical exposure, HIV, too much vitamin B6, gluten intolerance and some medications.
