North Davis greenbelt meeting is Wednesday

By From page A5 | October 23, 2013

The Putah Creek Council will host a community design open house for the North Davis Riparian Greenbelt project from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Club Room at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. in Davis.

The meeting will be an opportunity to view, discuss and comment on the draft plans for environmental education areas along the North Davis greenbelt.

One idea includes enhancing an existing children’s play area with a nature-based playscape while others showcase the channel, adjacent farmland and drought-resistant lawn replacements.

The draft designs have been generated through meetings and conversations with community members. Public input will help organizers further polish the designs before they are finalized.
