Offer ideas for Nishi Gateway project

By From page A6 | May 23, 2014

Are you intrigued by potential development of the Davis Nishi Gateway, a wedge-shaped property between the UC Davis campus and Interstate 80, just south of downtown?

If so, mark your calendars for two interactive workshops on Wednesday and Thursday, May 28-29, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Club Room at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. in Davis.

The city of Davis will host the two meetings to discuss planning efforts for the Davis Nishi Gateway. The property is part of the Downtown University Gateway District, which includes the Nishi Gateway (Nishi property and West Olive Drive) and adjacent UCD land.

Wednesday’s workshop will focus on mobility, open space and community character. Thursday’s will examine economic development and housing.
