Oncology nurse navigators will speak April 14

Oncology nurses Jennifer Thietz of Mercer Cancer Institute in Woodland and Michael Mair of Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael will discuss survivorship at the April 14 meeting of the Yolo Prostate Cancer Support Group.

They are oncology nurse navigators, specially trained to guide patients through the care process and explain procedures and treatments. The meeting, which is free, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.
