Local residents can find out what’s happening as a result of U.S. sanctions against Iran at a panel discussion by three experts from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the UC Davis Alumni & Visitors Center.

The panel features Timothy Ward, an international trade attorney; Erich C. Ferrari, founder of the Center of Economic Sanctions and Reform; and Trita Parsi, political scientist and author. The event is free and the public is invited.

The discussion is hosted by Senses Cultural, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting greater understanding about international cultures.

“Please join us to learn of the negative impacts of sanctions on the people of Iran,” said Tata Monfared, founder of the organization.
